Looking for a competent drummer...Information: Looking for a competent drummer to complete a band. We are all in our 30s and 40s, have families and jobs. So we aren''t looking to tour, but we do want to gig and have a good time doing so. We are all proficient with our instruments and had various experiences in bands. That said, we get together every 2 weeks to practice, I send out songs, we agree on the songs, do our homework and then get it together for a very efficient and fun practice. This format works well for everyone. Anyway, we have practice space, a PA, amps AND.. a complete performance grade drum set. This makes it easy for the drummer... minimal setup - just bring your favorite cymbals, snare, congas, etc. or use mine. As for the format... We all agreed to stay away from classic Rock or blues - nothing wrong with them, but we did them so much that we are looking for something else. We have originals as well as covers by Dave Matthews, Toad the Wet Sprocket, John Mayer, and much more. Let me know.. and I can give you a link to some of the music.

Have FUN, Play MUSIC!!...Information: I’m a bass player with lead vocal abilities. 20+ years of stage, studio, and production/marketing experience. I am currently working with a drummer who has comparable experience and is a bad-ass on the skins. We’re looking to play something beyond the norm of Blues and Classis Rock, although that is not to say we wouldn’t touch on it. We’re thinking; GROOVE ORIENTED Jazzy-Bluesy-Rock-Hip-Hop-Rap-Rock-fusion-sumthin -sumthin. Nothing’s carved in stone, if someone has genuine good input for material, we’ll do it. The main focus is to be natural, confident and have FUN while exhibiting the professionalism to pull off a GREAT SHOW. There are plenty of originals in the hopper if we want to record CDs. We’re looking for people who have the ‘skillz’ to accomplish this as a cohesive unit. A sense of humor is a must!! Neither one of us is kid any longer, so we’re kind of looking for people close to our age (late 30’s to late 40’s) But if you’re a prodigy with a level head, let’s talk. Looking for: Versatile Guitarist/vocalist (blistering lead, mondo-chordage, 9ths and serious CHUNK) Keys and Sax, hopefully in one wrapper, vocals a plus. Bassist needed...Information: Frederick Md based band, Knocking Shop, is looking for a bass player that is not afraid to improvise on the fly. Able to hold the root, jump out of it, and make it back. We currently play anything from Men at Work to Tool. We take covers and make them our own and most the time do not play things the same way twice. Music in the Mall...Information: Objective : Promote events to gain exposure for local music talent, to include free newspaper, internet and radio coverage and an opportunity to bring your music to the people by playing live in the Food Court.
Debut : Sat. July 19th, Noon - 3 p.m.
A local charity will sponsor this event as a fundraiser and promote.
The Mall will produce and display posters for the musicians participating in this event.
The Mall will provide a merch table for the musicians and a display of band brochures, flyers, gig schedules, etc.
The Mall will provide easy ground floor access for load-in and a "trolly" for moving equipment.
The Mall will secure promo on Radio 95.9 and 97.5 FM from Martinsburg and coverage by the Martinsburg Journal.
The Owner of www.grassrootsnetworking.com, www.shenandoahvalleysbest.com and www.shenandoahvalleymusic.com will post these events and photos and video, as well as links to the web-sites of participating musicians.
Our musicians should provide a p.a. system, back line of amps and drums, and an M.C., as well as an organized plan to manage the music and allow several groups and individuals to participate successfully.
Participating musicians can get free internet ads for "House Party" gigs. Details to come.
Our music will be heard by people who go to venues, people who book for venues, people who buy CDs and T-Shirts, people who have parties or corporate events, weddings etc.
The free radio, newspaper and internet promo will get us opportunities to gig.
The web-sites get more traffic.
The Mall gets more traffic.
The Charity raises much-needed funds.
The media get great "local interest" stories.

Wkg Country Band ISO Utility Player or Rhythm Guitarist...Information: Richie Fields and Big Time Country is a 6 piece band that just lost the services of our second guitarist. We are looking to replace him with either a utility player or a strong rhythm guitarist. Our band was recently chosen by WPOC Radio as Next Big Star finalists and not only is the musicianship top notch but the guys are also great people to work with. We currently play high energy modern country covers and also several originals from my CD. We will be putting an increasing emphasis on original material. Starting a band...Information: Rock band in need of a bassist. We have families and jobs.. so not looking at this as a career change, but rather for fun.. but obviously gig out.
